We’re excited to announce the latest social sharing feature for all stores using V11, our Pinterest share button!

Pinterest has quickly become the biggest social media darling in recent history, having overtaken established sites like LinkedIn and Google+ to become the third most-visited social site in the US, behind only Facebook and Twitter. That’s why, in our ongoing dedication to keep your business ahead of the curve, we’re excited to announce that your customers can now pin products directly from your product pages. these buttons slow down the page loading way too much. Facebook is ok but one if them (pinterest?) is killing page loading of products so I disabled it.

There is no “alt text” for the new Pinterest button. If you mouse over the Facebook button it pops up the text “Send to Facebook”, Twitter “Tweet This”, Pinterest: nothing… Should probably add some alt text there.

We tried implementing this on our store. It takes 3-4 seconds for these icons to load, which makes it nearly useless. When we contacted support they told us there was no solution. Why can’t we just have a place to put the buttons we want on the products? When will this be fixed?
