Members of the Volusion team recently attended InnoTech Austin to brush up
on business technology and rub elbows with some of the region’s brightest minds.
On Thursday, October 20th, the Austin Convention Center was home to the 8th annual InnoTech Austin Conference. Innotech is an innovation and technology event where various organizations come together to learn, network and check out the latest devices and trends in the tech industry.
The Expo Hall was packed with technology and communications businesses, as well as entrepreneurial education organizations, all demonstrating their services to the crowds. There was even a mobile planetarium and a Plinko booth! All and all, it was an informative and fun-filled experience for all involved.

Collaboration that Works
Lead by Jeffrey Grant from Cisco, this session dealt with technology trends relating to employee collaboration devices. He discussed the changing collaboration landscape and introduced products meant to utilize and advance employee output with mobile devices.
The Future of Mobile – New and Improved
A panel of individuals from various startups discussed the future of mobile devices and application development. From security and hardware innovation to the Siri app, this session offered valuable insights into the mobile application world.
This session focused on improving project management. From choosing the right program to understanding your budget, there was a wealth of knowledge on applications that can make all the difference on short or long term projects.
Enabling Innovation and Integration into the Cloud
Lately, it seems as though every bit of data is moving to the cloud. This session focused on the benefits of moving to cloud servers, as well as guidelines on best practices, planning tools and innovative solutions for cloud computing.
