Volusion Announces New International Payment Gateway, Skrill

Looking to expand your online business to the global stage? Thanks to our new integration with Skrill, you can accept payments across more borders than ever before.

In an effort to support your growing business, we’re excited to announce our integration with Skrill.  Skrill makes accepting international payments easier than ever and enables you to reach customers across the world.

Skrill (Moneybookers) is a PCI-compliant international payment gateway that provides access to over 100 countries and over 200 payment types. Now you can securely and easily accept international payments in your customers’ local currency!  See the full list of Volusion-supported payment gateways here.

To set up Skrill (Moneybookers) as the payment gateway, simply select it as the gateway on the Payment settings page.  See this article for complete instructions.

Once enabled, when an international customer places an order from your store, they’ll be taken to a secure Skrill page to enter their payment information.  After successfully completing their payment with Skrill, an order is created in your Volusion store’s Orders table for processing.

It’s really that easy! Best of luck as you expand your business around the world – it’s a great time to be selling online.

Happy selling!

We have been using credit cards and PayPal for our international orders. I have never heard of Skrill before. Does Skrill accept more payment methods than PayPal? Is Skrill better than PayPal for international orders?

MoneyBookers (Skrill) is accepted in many countries that Paypal is not… I know many people in many different countires that Paypal has decided not to deal with. if you’re happy with paypal – stick with them. Skrill is just another option that is becoming popular around the world.
