The holidays are upon us and 2016 is coming to a close. We recently sat down with a few Volusion employees and took some time to reflect on what we all have to be thankful for this season.
"I'm thankful for my health, my huge family, my husband, and my Christmas playlist which has been on repeat since July."
- Adrianne Beutnagel
"I’m thankful for my family all being such great cooks. I can’t wait to enjoy the delicious food everyone is making! I’m also thankful for the beautiful weather we’ve been having in Austin so I can walk off all those calories later. "
- Mia Pruett
"I am thankful this year for a happy healthy family. This past year I gained another brother in law but more importantly I welcomed my son into this family!"
- Brittany Funk
"I am thankful for chicken and rice."
- Graham Nabors
"I'm thankful that I work at a company willing to bring Turkey Day to you! There's more pumpkin pie here than you can shake a pilgrim at.
I'm thankful for coworkers that are also good friends, who take care of each other and are very giving people. The number of 'Friendsgiving' events I've seen pop up around this time of year, where you host a Thanksgiving dinner for anyone who can't have one with their family for whatever reason (distance, drama, scheduling, terrible cooks) is a heartwarming thing to see. It feels good to love these people for who they are as well as what they do."
- Michael Crary
"I'm thankful for friends, family and health.
I'm thankful for the new job I received earlier this year with great colleagues.
I'm thankful for new opportunities and exciting Austin adventures.
I'm thankful for each new day."
- Mike Murphy
"I woke up this morning in my comfy bed to a very cool blues tune. Clapton. So I'm thankful that I own a nice smartphone.
I drove the short 3-1/2 miles to work in a truck that I love, listening to tunes I enjoy,
I'm thankful that the lady in the BMW in the left lane finally realized she was drifting into my lane and corrected her own course. Before I had to blast my horn or take any evasive action. That would have disrupted my zen.
I arrived at a job I enjoy, and had some fresh fruit and a cup of gourmet tea.
I settled in to work for the day with people I really like being around.
Does it get any better than this?
And that's just one day!"
- Jeff Roberts
"This might sound odd, but I'm thankful for my pets! They comfort me when I'm stressed, make me smile on a daily basis, and warm my feet every night. It's also pretty cool that they prefer my company over anyone else's in the world -- instant ego boost! If you don't have a soft fur buddy to hang with, I highly encourage you to give one a home. You'll be thankful you did for years to come!"
- Maren Jepsen
"I'm thankful that I get to be home at a reasonable time to be able to facetime with my family, who live overseas. I normally don't have the time or ability to talk with them very often, and getting that face-to-face time in is really important."
- Denise Mamo
"Thankful for my wife, my dogs, and craft beer...and beard care products"
- Jacob King
"I'm thankful for dog Fridays at work, because I don't have any pets of my own. I get to play with everyone else's!"
- Natalie Stambro
"I'm thankful for a husband who cooks delicious food and friends who love good wine. Also my dogs!"
- Kavi Kardos
