The Volusion team attended the 2010 Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition in Chicago from June 8-11 to showcase our award-winning shopping cart software and meet some of our successful online business owners.

The Volusion team attended the 2010 Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition in Chicago from June 8-11 to showcase our award-winning shopping cart software and meet some of our successful online business owners.

Volusion took IRCE 2010 by storm. The team exhibited at the tradeshow as well as sponsored the “After Hours” cocktail party with Stamps.com.

Even though everyone has had time to reboot from the IRCE excitement – as well as Chicago winning the Stanley Cup – the buzz surrounding America’s largest ecommerce event still lingers. With over 6,500 attendees, this year’s IRCE was a frenzy of all things ecommerce. Taking place from June 8 – 11, IRCE was a gathering of the most innovative organizations in the industry.

This year our team had the opportunity to meet with aspiring entrepreneurs as well as many Volusion customers – over 20 Volusion store owners made the trip out to Chicago to meet us face to face. Check out our IRCE pictures here.

Thousands of entrepreneurs, business owners, industry experts and service providers flocked to IRCE to get the inside scoop on all things ecommerce. With 75+ speakers, a myriad of topics were discussed, however there were two topics that had the whole conference buzzing – Mobile and Social commerce. It’s widely accepted that the future of ecommerce lies within shopping on the go with smart phones as well as via social networks.
