Getting Started: 4 “Thank You” Features in Volusion Software

“Thank you” is a very powerful phrase. Check out this post to discover four features in your Volusion software that help you say just that to your customers.

With the online marketplace so vast, today’s internet shoppers have a plethora of choices when deciding where to take their business. When they choose yours, make sure they come back by letting them know how much you appreciate them. To help you do so, your Volusion software has several built-in ways to say “Thank you!” to those supporting your business.

Here are four Volusion features that can help you thank your customers:

 

1. Order Finished page

After your customers submit their orders, they’re sent to the Order Finished page, and with Volusion, you can customize this page to be a “thank you” instead of just a goodbye. Keep in mind that the Order Finished page may be the last page customers see before leaving your store, so adding that personal touch leaves customers with a lasting impression of your appreciation.

In order to edit your Order Finished page, you’ll need to go to your store admin and select the Design > Site Content option. Here you’ll find the “Order Finished” section, where you can edit what appears on the “Order Finished” page. By default, a number of instructions and messages are already set up for this page and you’ll want to keep those intact. With Article 49 – PreText, however, you can change as you like, since that’s where you add your thank you message.

 

2. Discounts, coupons and gift cards

Coupons, discounts and gift cards are versatile tools that can show your customers appreciation while boosting your sales. Coupons are configured with a coupon code and entered in your storefront. Discounts, on the other hand, are set up to automatically apply to a product or an order, and gift cards act as store credits. But when it comes down to it, all three can make your customers feel valued and appreciated.

Luckily, you can manage discounts, coupons and gift cards all from your store admin, with discounts and coupons being located under Marketing > Coupons and Discounts, and gift cards under Settings > Config Variables. Don’t forget: With your Volusion software, you also have a variety of ways to implement and communicate these deals to your customers. For example, you can easily offer a site-wide discount, or tuck a coupon into your monthly newsletter.

 

3. Free gifts with products

Offering free gifts along with some of your products is another way to treat your customers to something special. Additionally, this Volusion feature has the potential benefit of working for your marketing strategy as well. For your free gift, why not give away items branded with your business name and logo? People can always use a new pen or key chain, and you can always use the brand recognition!

Your Volusion software also has the capability of having multiple options for your free gifts so your customers can choose which ones they want. With the power of choice and free gifts combined, this feature can increase your conversion rate. However, free gifts are not a default setting. 4. MyRewards loyalty program

If you’d like to take a more long-term approach to thanking your customers, then the built-in MyRewards program is the feature for you. With MyRewards, you set up a system where customers can get reward points that they can then spend in your store. Depending on which you prefer, they can either accumulate these points based on how much they spend, or whether they purchase certain products. All in all, the program builds loyalty and trust in your brand, while keeping your inventory moving.
