Hello. I’d like to get some traffic to my site and convert customers into sales. My bounce rate is high and people aren’t clicking into the site. 🙁 They are leaving after they get to the first page. I have been reading a few of the various blog posts on how to make my homepage “engaging” with coupons, deals and pop ups, newletter sign up,etc. I will be making those changes soon.
If you could give me any other information on how to make my site better, that would be awesome! Thanks for your time!

Would you kindly share how you did the one click “Add to calendar” for this webinar? It would be awesome to help my customers remember the classes they have signed up for at my shop.

It is a feature in GoToWebinar, the tool we use to host our webinars.

We are part of a coop (True Value Hardware) within our industry that offers DIY and other tutorials on their YouTube channel. I want to beef up our YouTube channel. Would it be a good or bad idea to repost these videos on our YouTube so they are branded with our name rather than taking them to purchase on True Value. Would this hurt us with YouTube/Google/SEO issues?
    Thank you!

We used Volusion’s PPC marketing and spent thousands of dollars to get a handful of sales. The PPC folks said it was only their job to get people to our site and if the sales weren’t converting that wasn’t their problem. We completely redesigned our site at http://www.elemeno-pee.com and have re-launched it but we need to CONVERT our traffic. What marketing strategies can we use to increase CONVERSION and not just traffic?

      Hello Todd,

We appreciate your feedback! Website design, layout and even product categorization can have a huge impact on conversion… and while driving traffic through PPC, SEO and a variety of online marketing strategies is important, converting that traffic is the ultimate goal. That’s why we are dedicating a portion of the webinar on how to convert your website visitors into shoppers. We will have a conversion expert on hand to give advice and answer your questions. Hopefully these recommendations will help you improve your conversion rate. Do you have any specific questions for the panelists about site conversion? Please let us know in the comments below or on the registration page of Marketing For Your Online Store Webinar

      Thank you!

      Todd hi,

whilst it is absolutely the job of the website to convert clicks into customers, nevertheless it is disingenuous of the PPC team responsible for buying those clicks to claim they have nothing to do with the result you experienced. It’s your money they’re spending, and they have a responsibility to see you get paid.

What if they were bidding on terms which were too general? And not faithfully representing your landing page offers in their ad text? And not bringing visitors to the right product page?

You’ve also got to consider your own offers. If your visitors just won’t pay your prices for whatever reason, then all the qualified traffic in the world won’t make any difference.

I explain all this in great detail in my Amazon book “The AdWords Bible for eCommerce – How to Sell More and Earn More with Unlimited Budgets”.

      Hi MarQuita,

If you have any specific questions about any of the marketing channels, please ask us here and I will pass it on to the team. Also, if you could tell us something more about your store and industry, that would be helpful too.

      Thanks,
