Looking Ahead: What Volusion Has in Store for 2016

With the end of 2015 fast approaching,  we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your business, wish you happy holidays and share a few exciting updates.


The past year has been an incredibly exciting time for Volusion. It is our continued mission to help your business blaze new trails online, and 2015 was no exception. With the launch of several new features and integrations and our continued commitment to quality customer support and hosting, we are more dedicated than ever to helping you start, manage and grow a successful online business.

And as our merchants pursue ambitious goals in 2016, we’re also committed to providing the best features, integrations, support and hosting to help your business reach new levels of success.

As part of our dedication to our merchants, I’m excited to announce my return to the role of Volusion’s CEO. As some of you may know, I started Volusion in 1999 with the goal of making it easy for anyone to start a successful online business. In 2012, I chose to spend more time with my family in California and pursue innovative opportunities to further fuel the platform.

From there, I gained a fresh perspective on the ecommerce industry and discovered powerful new areas that I wanted to explore with Volusion and beyond. In resuming my role as CEO, I’m excited to bring my knowledge and experience back to the front lines to better serve our customers.

Former CEO Clay Olivier has graced us with extraordinary talent over the years, and our collaboration has resulted in the platform successes that we now enjoy. We are happy to announce that Clay will remain an active voice in Volusion on our Board of Directors, and we look forward to his continued impact on the company.

Kevin Sproles is Founder and CEO of Volusion, and drives the company's overall strategic vision. He originally started designing websites early in his career and when his clients began asking for ecommerce functionally, he coded a shopping cart software that became Volusion. In Volusion's early stages, Kevin built software that fit his clients' needs, often staying up all night developing a new feature. His favorite part of the job was telling clients, "Remember that feature you asked for yesterday? Here you go." This customer-first mentality remains a core value at Volusion to this day.
