With the end of 2015 fast approaching,  we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your business, wish you happy holidays and share a few exciting updates.

The past year has been an incredibly exciting time for Volusion. It is our continued mission to help your business blaze new trails online, and 2015 was no exception. With the launch of several new features and integrations and our continued commitment to quality customer support and hosting, we are more dedicated than ever to helping you start, manage and grow a successful online business.

And as our merchants pursue ambitious goals in 2016, we’re also committed to providing the best features, integrations, support and hosting to help your business reach new levels of success.

As part of our dedication to our merchants, I’m excited to announce my return to the role of Volusion’s CEO. As some of you may know, I started Volusion in 1999 with the goal of making it easy for anyone to start a successful online business. In 2012, I chose to spend more time with my family in California and pursue innovative opportunities to further fuel the platform.

From there, I gained a fresh perspective on the ecommerce industry and discovered powerful new areas that I wanted to explore with Volusion and beyond. In resuming my role as CEO, I’m excited to bring my knowledge and experience back to the front lines to better serve our customers.

Former CEO Clay Olivier has graced us with extraordinary talent over the years, and our collaboration has resulted in the platform successes that we now enjoy. We are happy to announce that Clay will remain an active voice in Volusion on our Board of Directors, and we look forward to his continued impact on the company.

Looking to 2016, I’m proud of the features and integrations that we are working on, including:

  • Powerful partnerships to increase your revenue-earning potential
  • The introduction of a new, modern API to help you seamlessly integrate with third party applications
  • User experience and workflow improvements to the platform for improved efficiency in managing your online store

As our merchants continue down the path of another record-breaking sales season, I have never been more excited about the spectacular things to come. I wish you a wonderful holiday season for your business, and am energized about the start of the new year.

Happy Selling,

Kevin Sproles

Will the new update provide any improvements on the google shopping API or the addition of a bing shopping API to send a shopping feed directly from the import/export tab?

Is Volusion EVER going to fix the UK ebay API??? I think my ticket has been open for over 6 months now. It doesn’t pick up the required information for ebay and yet you’re still advertising the software as integrated with ebay in the UK when it isn’t. Getting really sick of being ignored on this one.

Will Volusion ever provide an integrated analytics platform that shows view, conversation and more in real time, instead of having to be generated with limited information through the “reports” feature?

      Hi Amanda,

Great question! Yes, more robust reporting is definitely an area of focus for Volusion in 2016, and the API release will also help to support integrations, such as analytics platforms, etc.

Stay tuned to the blog and email for more updates in the new year!

      Happy Selling!

Is there any plan to make the same options that are available to your American clients available to your Canadian ones…example – the option of Sell on Amazon.ca it’s been disappointing to see options that sound wonderful but that I can’t participate in because I’m in Canada but I pay the same fees as American Volusion users.

Will the new modern API allow for integrations with Stitch Labs, Ordoro, and other inventory sync apps? One of the real issues is the lack of reasonably priced third party apps to sync inventory from multiple sales channels.
