Every small business can make a difference in their community
The Volusion Foundation
Volusion wasn’t started by a huge corporation or venture capital funds. It started with an idea and an angel investor who could help bring this product to a wider audience. Often good ideas just need a little financial support to get off the ground.
That’s why we created the Volusion Foundation to support vulnerable children, communities in third world nations, and budding entrepreneurs. Through the non-profit World Vision, Volusion contributed $100,000 in 2007 to entrepreneurs, farmers, and families in African nations. Volusion executes several initiatives through World Vision:
- A microloan as small as $130 can create or sustain an average of three jobs and the lives of 15 children. Volusion offers microloans as well as basic business training to the people of the Nthondo region in Malawi.
- Volusion contributions have also helped drill 15 boreholes and rehabilitate an additional ten water wells in Malawi to help reduce waterborne illnesses and improve the lives of subsistence farmers in the area.
- Volusion sponsors over 50 children across the globe. These sponsorships allow them to go to school, drink clean water, and obtain the food and supplies they need to thrive.
Volusion’s Volunteer Corps at Home
Volusion also offers employees two days off a year to volunteer within the greater Los Angeles and Austin communities
