Store Admin Design Enhancements

Colors & Style

V13's store admin enhancements make managing your store more seamless and intuitive, with improved navigation and styling helping build your business faster and easier than ever. Please note that these enhancements are primarily style changes (colors, fonts, buttons) to improve the ease of use in your store admin area and will have no effect on the performance of your store.

Key changes include:

  • Same workflows and organization to maintain your
    efficiency and processes
  • Cleaner design with less clutter
  • Brighter, warmer colors

Header & Navigation

We've updated the header to make navigating the admin quick and easy. The simplified navigation menu places all your store management actions on the same line. The menu categories remain the same.

Settings are now located in the main navigation menu
The new storefront icon provides an easy-to-find link to see your store as your customers do
All important account info is now located under your username, where you can find your Store ID, Messages, My.Volusion and Log Out
Click on the new "Get Help" button to get immediate assistance for the page you're currently on.

Grid & List Views

The main grids and list views give you quick access to many items at once. The newly redesigned views make managing those items easier than ever.

We've redesigned our Categories page to make organizing your content easier than ever. Simply drag categories up or down to reorder and hold one over another to make it a subcategory.
You'll perform actions from the grid and list views as you always have, but we've made the design cleaner and more consistent to make things easier
Primary actions remain in the same place, but they have newly styled buttons and icons. All settings and actions related to your current view have moved into the Settings menu. From here, you can access Settings, Customize Columns, Bulk Updates, Export Results, Bookmark Results and Quick Edit.
Quickly update the details from the grid view by dragging your mouse over the column header. Click the "Edit" icon, and update multiple records at once.


Product Detail Pages

You spend more time on these pages than anywhere else in the admin area, so we wanted them to be as clean and intuitive as possible.

Primary actions like Adding, Deleting and Sharing on social networks are all located in the top left, with newly styled buttons and icons.
The links to view the previous record, next record or go back to the main list are now icons, located at the top right of the page. When available, you can click the "View Live" button next to them to see how that item looks on your storefront.
We've added instructions where more help was needed, and updated some of the field labels and titles throughout the admin. These edits were based on the areas where users asked for the most help. Most fields and actions remain exactly where they were in V11, so you can still navigate quickly and easily!
We removed the boxes around subsections and created a clean, simple dividing line to help group related content down the page. These subsections can still be collapsed to simplify your view, and the admin still remembers which ones you've left open or closed when you return.

Sell on eBay

Expand your reach by selling to over 100 million active eBay users through your Volusion store. This integration is the most seamless and intuitive offering from any ecommerce provider, and is available to customers on Gold, Platinum and custom plans.

Highlights include:

  • Easily submit fixed price listings directly from your Volusion store
  • Configure product specifications, shipping and payment settings, view the status of each listing and manage the quantities purchased
  • Sold items are submitted to your store as an order, so you can process and ship them just like you're used to

Star Ratings in Google

Now your product's review stars will automatically display in Google search results, helping your products and your store stand out online.



Star Ratings Across Your Site

Shoppers can now effortlessly view customer ratings and reviews of products as they browse your store. Ratings are now featured on Category, Search Results, and Featured Products pages.

Tablet-Ready Admin

Manage your store from your tablet device! With V13, you can run your business on the go by managing inventory, processing orders and accepting payments, all from your tablet.

Enhanced Product Image Viewer

     

Your product images will pop in V13's new product lightbox view. When customers click on your product, full-size images now appear in a lightbox frame for easier viewing.
